Let me start my little exhibition with a picture from a famous photographic "site", the Yosemite Valley in California. It is not easy to make fine pictures in the Yosemite Valley. All pictures seem first to be taken by somebody else! Above them all stands Ansel Adams of course. But due to the fast changing weather and light conditions in the valley, it is often possible to find a new angle or a different perspective on the majestic rocks and trees and the soft meadows. Because of the large distances and many small details in the sceneries it is best to use a large format camera. This is however unpractical for most hobby photographers.
This picture was taken on Kodak Technical Pan film with a Leica M3 and the Summicron 50 mm lens. The Technical Pan is the sharpest and most fine-grained film available for half-tone photography. It also has an extended red sensitivity which can be very valuable in landscape photograpy.

The Millesgården is a beautiful sculpture garden on the island (and city) of Lidingö, close to Stockholm. Many works of the famous artist can be seen here. This picture was taken with Leica M3 and the Summicron 90 mm lens. Click here for an external link to more pictures from Millesgården.

Strängnäs is a beautiful town at lake Mälaren. The cathedral is magnificent and so is the house of Rogge, the residence of the well known bishop Rogge, living there in the 15th century. This picture was taken on a dull winter day with an old 4x5 inch Arca Swiss camera and a new 210 mm Schneider Symmar lens. There are a lot of details on this negative, not visible on the computer screen! New cameras are coming from the swiss manufacturer. Click here to read about the new compact 2x3 inch Arca Swiss!
