My interest for scrim started two years ago when I visited Elverum, Norway and saw scrim for the first time.
When I came home I decided to try to do some scrim, but I couldn't find any books in the subject, so I had to try over and over again. I'm still learning "how to", and hopefully I'll develop my technique even more.
When I make a knife I preferr aritificial material for the handels and stainless steel for the blades. I use Sandviken 12c27 or other stainless steels, for example damast steel.
I make both knives with fixed blades and folders, but my personal favorites are mostly folders.
In my work, I try to do everything in my own way and not to get influenced by other knifemakers and their styles.
When it comes to scrimshaw I'm interrested in creating and decorating knives, pictures, jewelery and guns, for example pistolgrips and riflestocks. I've also decorated some austericheggs with scrimshaw motives.
When I do scrim I choose a picture I feel for, because I do this just for fun and a sort of meditation, not for profit.
I you wonder about anything or have any comments, please send an E-mail.
Special thanks to the following people at the media school in Västerås who helped me with the pictures;
Mikael Hartin, Ola Lindgren and Magnus Larssen.
Also special thanks to Eric Lindblad, who made this homepage for me.
