Donation
In 1947 Wallén donated all his money and his house "to a school of crafts for talented youths".
At this school the pupil should have the opportunity "to study in his own way - not as at other schools, where the pupil was forced to do as he was told". Here he should "train his eyes and hands" and become "a competent craftsman and a good man".

Stiftelsen Hantverksfrämjandet
His house and studio is today premises for the administration of the Swedish craft guild.


The school
The school has up to 1997 been called "Hantverkets Folkhögskola" (The folk high-school of craft), but will from now on be called "Företagarnas Folkhögskola" (The folk high-school of manufacturers).
