Brian is the most popular guy in Backstreet boys !
Yes. As we thought. Nick Carter was for a very long time the most popular Backstreet boy, but now he has got competion from Brian alias "B-rok". A few numbers ago we wanted contributions for the contest: Who is the most popular guy in BSB. And we've got about 3000 answers.

Great victory for Brian, in other words. But girls, what have you done with poor Howie, he makes as good as he can !
As everyone know by now Brian were born with a "hole" in his heart. Now he has gone through a succesful heart surgury and has rested for about a month.
- I don't know what to do now when i'm off work. The doctors says that I have to stay calm down and not stress like I use to do.
but they let me go through physiotherapy, a light form of training .
There is no danger for my life. But of course I was a little bit nervous before the heart surgery, because all kind of heart operations has risks.
Brian takes it all easy, he is use to frequent visits to the hospital since he was a child, and today he has started a fund for heart diseaseson the same hospital he was treated in when he was a kid in Lexington ,Kentucky
I had no problems with my heart when we started the Backstreet boys. Back then I was classified as healthy, even if the doctors still looked after me.

but much touring, a big succes with the band and traveling andpromotion resulted in that Brians heart couldn't stand the pressure anymore.
This was discovred during a routine investigation and Brian got order about taking it easy so his heart would stand the pressure.
- Now the hard thing is to just walk around and do nothing. I long after getting healthy so we can go back out on tour again.
There has been many rumors about Brian writing a song to his mom about how much he love her.
-Yes, that's right. As a matter of fact I have written material for a whole album. But there hasn't been time to record it because it's many other things with the Backstreet boys right now.
And of course we can see that. The Backstreet boys are still the kings, although if new bands like Five and Take 5 are coming up all the time.
But with the "popfactor" that Brian has , it isn't impossible that he one day in the future becomes a solo artist.
If so, he will have a lot of fans. Especially in Sweden.

What's happening to the Backstreet boys ?
Now we don't have to wait so much longer. The Backstreet boys is planning an European tour for next year. And right now thay are working on their third album, still with an unknowned name. The boys are also making small visits in Stockholm, Sweden for making new songs and "jam" together with the swedish songwriter Dennis Pop (who just sadley passed away).
Meanwhile the american fans adore A.J, Howie, Brian, Nick and Kevin. Even the South American BSB-lovers has got a little something. Spanish speaking Howie took a ten days tripp to Sao Paulo and Rio the Janeiro in Brasil and after that Mexico City. Except buying tiny figures for his collecting mom he's also made a promotion for the Backstret boys
- I was a pretty strange feeling that not being with the other guys, he says and idmits that he got a little bit interestid in a solo carier
- I relized that South America and Mexico is a hughe market, both for me and the other guys.
When Howie had some time over he spent three weeks writing demos for Backstreet boys new album. If we're lucky it might be on the new album. While Brian resting after the operation Nick, Kevin and A.J Spend their spare time doing ordinary things like meeting girls.

At the MTV Music Awards in Los Angeles September the 10th the Backstreet boys is having a dubble chance in the catagories " Best dancevideo " for Evwerybody (Backstreet's back).
